Further information:	Pihlajamäki is one of the oldest and architecturally most renowned suburb in Helsinki. The buildings and environs of the district built in the 1960s are protected by town plan. Pihlajamäki has comprehensive services, with the shopping centre and health station only a stone's throw away. There are also several schools and day care centres nearby. Viikki shopping centre, Science Park and a library are located just on the other side of Lahdenväylä motorway.
