The ABC of renting
It is always advisable for a tenant to purchase insurance, regardless of whether the lessor requires it in the terms of agreement or not. Home insurance, including legal protection and liability insurance, purchased by a tenant should be considered a part of the cost of living. A small increase in basic costs significantly improves the safety of living and usually covers the costs of damage to personal property and temporary housing for the resident in case of an accident. Property insurance does not cover the tenant’s personal property or the cost of resident’s temporary housing.
